Enjoy the authentic food and wine from the North of Portugal!

Our original downtown and Bolhão Market Food Tour is the longest-walking food tour in Porto and the first one that we have featured. It highlights classics, timeless dishes and the essential ingredients that make the Porto’s cuisine so special!

This tour is by walking and it last about 4 hours from the gastronomic heart of Porto (Bolhão Market) to the vibrant downtown.

Discover 8 unique spots to enjoy a hand-selected tasting menu: 13 food specialties (striking a perfect balance between sweet and savory), accompanied with 4 beverages.

Expect to taste the lesser-known flavors of the North of Portugal and to discover the authentic Porto and the north of Portugal specialties, the one that we experience every day and that most travelers rarely taste. Do not expect the usual famous dishes like “Francesinha” or “Pastéis de Nata” here! We are all about introducing you to foods and wines you won’t easily find on your own, like the amazing “pataniscas” and a variety of wines beyond the famous Port wine.

Talking about wine, this tour pays tribute to the culture of small-scale producers and gives a delicious overview of 4 different Portuguese wine regions such as: Vinho Verde, Alentejano, Minho and “of course” the Douro Valley.

At each tasting spot, you will learn about the families and the history behind the restaurants, cafes and gourmet food shops that you will visit. You will learn about the history, architecture, and culture of the North of Portugal while strolling across the city’s charming streets.

The Porto food tour gives you the chance to explore a part of the old Jewish Quarter that the community’s contribution rises as a commercial hotspot.

No worries about your diet restrictions, we always consider your allergies (if any) and your food restrictions. Don’t forget to mention it when you complete the reservation form!
